Specialist engineering, construction and asset management contractor, Bilfinger Berger Services, has awarded $5,000 in sponsorship to local community group Esperance Regional Forum Inc as part of the company’s Community Support Program.  The local community group was presented with a giant check for $5,000 by Bilfinger Berger Services WA Operations Manager, Daryl Smith, at a presentation last week.

Esperance Regional Forum works to protect the natural resources of the region. The money donated by Bilfinger Berger Services will be used to purchase a box trailer to transport equipment and supplies to rehabilitation sites as well as organising sustainable development programs for local children.  Bilfinger Berger Services WA Operations Manager Daryl Smith said: “Following the announcement of the Bilfinger Berger Services Community Support Program, we received 13 applications from community service groups operating in the Esperance Region.  “We were impressed by the many sporting clubs and community support groups that operate in the area. We are proud to help them realise their goals for 2010.” 

In addition to the $5,000 awarded to Esperance Regional Forum Bilfinger Berger Services has provided additional funding to the following groups:

• Esperance Goldfields Surf Life Saving Club
•  Cougars Softball Club
•  Esperance Adventure Land Park
•  Goldfields Individual and Family Support Association
